Firearms: California Concealed Weapons (CCW) Course (3 Day class)
The CCW certification provides individuals with certain rights and benefits -- it allows the individual to carry a gun in more public areas, educates the firearm owner, makes buying firearms easier, and gives the owner a better peace of mind.

About the class:
This class is for firstime California Concealed Weapons holders or people who let their CCW relapse. Seats are limited, so sign up now!
The California CCW course is required by the state to carry any concealed weapon.
The CCW class consists of 3 sessions. Session 1 & 2 are on Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 6:00pm (running till 9:00pm or a little later depending on participant's needs)
Session 3 is the shooting portion of the class which is held the following Saturday. Students will be brought in in groups of 4 beginning at 11am.
Participants need to bring 50 rounds of ammo to the class per qualifying firearm for the testing process. Bring more if you want to shoot before your test.
After our class you will need to fill out the Humboldt County Sheriff CCW Application.

Please Note: Due to Federal Law, we cannot certify people with a current Medical Marijuana 215 card. Marijuana (cannabis) is still classified as a Schedule 1 drug (www.dea.gov/druginfo/ds.shtml). As current policy, all Sheriffs will not issue a CCW to someone with a CURRENT 215 card. No check is done on our end. We apologize for this inconvenience. As soon as there is a change in this classification, we will let you know.

Day one is held at Pacific Outfitters at 1600 5th Street Eureka, CA 95501 on Tuesday from 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Day two is held at Pacific Outfitters at 1600 5th Street Eureka, CA 95501 on Thursday from 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Day three will be held at Old West Shootery at 1327 5th Street Eureka, CA 95501 from 11:00am - 3:00pm
What to expect for your shooting test:
- Your target's distance will be between 30-45 feet depending on the barrel length of your qualifiying firearm.
- You will be qualifing with 50 rounds of ammo per firearm.
- You are allowed 4 "flyers" (rounds that miss the designated shooting area)
- If you have a revolver, every trigger pull must be a "double action" trigger pull.
If you fail the test, there is a $50 re-test fee, and you would take place during our next class.

If you purchase the Multi-State CCW Package you will need:
- We do not mail off student paperwork, postage is up to the student.
- We do not offer finger printing at our location, however we do offer AZ fingerprint cards. Finger printing will need to be done at an authorized finger print location.

Everyone considering a CCW is highly recomended to take our 2 Day Denfesive Handgun Course.
This course is designed to teach you the fundamental skills necessary to defend yourself in a lethal force encounter. When seconds count, you must be able to rely on muscle memory and react instinctively and instantly. The skills you will learn in this course will give you the foundation to do just that.
Our area can sometimes be a dynamic and unpredictable environment. All programs are dependent upon specific weather conditions and may need to be rescheduled or cancelled due to these factors. Pacific Outfitters reserves the right to make any changes to the scheduling of a class or program. In order to keep our programs affordable, a minimum number of participants may be required. If we are unable to fill a program to a minimum level of participation, we reserve the right to cancel the program. A full refund will be provided in the event of a cancelled or rescheduled activity (upon request for a rescheduled event). Please let us know of any changes in your schedule as well.
